HOW DOES THE CFTP WORK?

The Cycle for the Prophets is a network of prayer and fasting for the prophets across the South American continent.

Representatives from each of the 13 nations of South America stand in the gap for their own nation, coming before God for 21 days to intercede for the prophets. Teams from each nation pray for the prophets through the Daniel Fast and intercession.

Each nation's team divides the 21 days of fasting among its members so that it is not too hard for anyone. After completing the 21 days of prayer and fasting, all participants in the Cycle for the Prophets enjoy 7 days of celebration, praising God for revival, even before seeing it happen on earth. After the 7 days of celebration, the team of representatives from the next nation begins its turn of 21 days of intercession, and so the Cycle continues for all 13 nations of South America.

Now, 21 days of fasting plus 7 days of celebration is 28 days in total. These 28 days, for the 13 nations of South America, make a cycle of 364 days. Almost a year! The last day, number 365, is set aside for the international encounter (conference) that we hold on December 21st of each year. At this meeting we gather all the members of the Cycle for a conference in the city that God indicated for that year.

In nature, almost everything moves in a cycle. The Sun is God's clock, and it moves in its 365-day cycle. The Cycle for the Prophets moves along with the sun. On June 21, the sun leans farthest over North America, and on December 21, the sun leans farthest over South America. Therefore, the CPLP international meeting takes place for 3 days, on December 19, 20, and 21 of each year.

Example:

For example, if Peru starts the Cycle, then the team from Peru will be responsible for praying and fasting for 21 consecutive days on behalf of the prophets and the prophetic movement in the church. After that, there will be 7 days of celebration, including all the countries that are part of the CPLP. Then, the next nation, such as Ecuador or another, will begin its responsibility to cover its 21 days of intercession.
