THE MINISTRY
OF THE PROPHET
Welcome to the Cycle for the Prophets. We are committed to calling the prophets of God to rise up and make a difference in the world.
With the Bible as our foundation, we must be very clear on the following points:
-
There do exist prophets whom God has called and raised up today. (Acts 11:26-28, 21:9-11, Ephesians 4:11-12, 1 Corinthians 12:28, 14:29)

-
God wants to use His prophets to do wonders on earth, and to turn the hearts of the people back to Him. (1 Kings 18, 2 Chronicles 20:20, Jeremiah 1:4-12)

-
Prophets are not greater or more special than any other person. (1 Corinthians 12:14-26, James 2:8-10)
-
There are false prophets who want to confuse the people and stop the move of God. (1 Kings 18:19, Acts 20:29, Acts 13:6)
-
There is great resistance from Satan against the true prophets of God. (1 Kings 18:4, 19:1-2, Psalms 105:15)
When the Lord called Jeremiah, the Bible reveals that God chooses prophets and calls them from their mother’s womb. Therefore, the process of growing in Christ is not about becoming a prophet but about discovering and developing what God has already deposited in us since before we were born.
Through the Holy Spirit, every believer has the ability to prophesy when God speaks to them or when they seek revelation from the Lord. There is also the gift of prophecy, which God has given to the church to reveal the secrets of hearts and build up the body of Christ. However, the call to be a prophet is something different; it is one of the five ministries that make up the leadership of the church.
" Not all who prophesy are prophets, nor are all who possess the gift of prophecy. The Prophets, on the other hand, are called by God from their mothers' wombs to be His voice on earth and leaders within the church as part of the fivefold ministry."
